The other day I was at the grocery's frozen food section and
right after I close the door to one of the freezers a young lady standing close by said to me "you smell really good." I thought it was my perfume but she went on to say it was my hair.
"Why thank you", I replied.
As I was thinking about this on my way home and trying to remember which shampoo I had used that morning I recalled a shampoo in the 70s called "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific" that my mom bought me to use.
It DID smell good.
Do you ladies remember it?
{I know I'm showing my age here, but one of the buttons on the right hand side there says "Over 40 bloggers" ;)
I then lamented as to why the manufacturer stopped selling this wonderful shampoo. And of course, being the person that I am and wanting to find out everything about anything I searched the web for an answer.
And guess what?
They are making it and selling this shampoo again!
Yes ma'am they are:
You can buy it right here!
And speaking of beautifully scented shampoos, do you remember this one:
Clairol Herbal Essence Shampoo
And of course this one that contained beer, hee hee.
Body on Tap Shampoo
Also, when I was a teen, I used Noxzema cream a lot!
I still remember that smell.
And last of my nostalgic beauty products (for now anyway)
is this cream I frequently saw on my aunt's dresser. She took her make up off with it.
It's funny how all these products remind me so much of summer.
Fresh. Clean.
I wish they still made those shampoos.
And if you're wondering what shampoo I've been using that smells so good someone actually complimented me
this is it:
Both from Bath and Body Works
How about you? What scents remind you of summer?
I'd love for you to comment on this post or my facebook page.
Don't forget to follow this blog please and save yourself

p.s. I was not compensated by anyone on this post.
I just love these products :)
I'm one of those people who tell strangers when they smell good too! lol I kept passing this older guy at Kroger one day. He had to be about my dad's age, 70+. His cologne was strong. It made me smile because my dad's always was, too. On the last pass by him, I stopped and said, "I just have to tell you that you smell really good!" I think it made his day.
ReplyDeleteI remember that shampoo! There was also a line of shampoos that were scented like popular perfumes. I remember Georgio was one scent. lol
LOL!! That is FUNNY! And yes I remember those shampoos like Giorgio Beverly Hills. I STILL love that perfume!
