Weekly Click and Chat Social Media Link and Living Room Makeover

Oh Happy Day! Do I feel super accomplished today. And why am I feeling this way, you ask? Well it's nothing more than a project(s) is done. D.O.N.E. It seems like forever and a day that I've been working on the vintage sofa upholstery project AND the ugly coffee table makeover.  I shared that coffee table make over with you before and here's a few pics of the before: I used home made chalk paint to make it over :) Now, drum roll please..... Here's a little looksee at my living room now  The small pillows were made out of a real coffee burlap sac The other pillows are from Target bought on clearance! The ones behind those are made out of drop cloths. I'm still deb ating on whether to stencil something on them or not. Remember the ugly coffee table? I still have to recover the wing chairs (those are slipcovers) in the same color as you see them now. I just have to find some cheap but durable fabric. I am also on t

Fourth of July Dessert and a July Giveaway!

Howdy sweet peeps!  Happy Independence Day! I'm here to share a quick and yummy dessert I made  just a few hours ago for a 4th of July cookout we are invited to.   How to make a 4th of July Dessert It is super easy and delish! Here's what you'll need: 2 packages of crescent rolls 2 packages of 8 oz. cream cheese chocolate chips 1/2 c sugar 2 bananas 1 lime/lemon 1 pint of strawberries 1 pint of blueberries whipped topping/cream 9x12 glass pan     1. Take the crescent rolls and flatten them on your baking sheet to form a rectangle. Then bake them according to package directions.  In the meantime, I washed all the fruit and sliced them. I used this handy little gadget to slice the strawberries.  I put some lime juice on  a plate and I sliced my bananas on the plate. Then I squeezed some more of the lime juice on them to keep them from turning brown :)   After the crescent rolls were done, I let them cool a little them u

4th of July-Let Freedom Ring-Denim-Wreath

What do you get with these:         Why, a patriotic wreath of course! How to make a denim wreath for Independence Day!    First, gather your materials:  2-3 wire hangers or semi-rigid wire jeans or denim fabric wooden letter red paint ribbons of your choice hot glue gun staple gun  fabric scissors cricut or any other die cutter  or white star stickers   Step 1:  Make your wire hanger into a circle. You will need one inner circle and one outer circle that is slightly bigger. The idea is that one fits inside of the other. This is to make the wreath look fluffier. Begin by cutting or tearing strips of the denim and tying them around the hanger. They don't have to be perfect or the same size.  It's good to have a helper :) Once you have them all on there, make sure they are nice and scrunched together tight.  For my wreath, I used a large sized denim shirt and a  large pair of jeans  (my hubby's...s
