Road to Becoming a Professional Actor

Hello everyone! I hope you've had a great week. We've been having some beautiful weather here in the Dallas area, let's hope it lasts!  Last week I talked about how my son, Aaron, has had a dream of being a professional actor since the age of 5.  And how we came across this magnificent school that he now attends. The Dallas Young Actors School trains your child and teen on a real soundstage to prepare them for TV and film work. This is not theater. We learned a lot from Ms. Linda Seto, the founder of the Dallas YAS about the differences between acting for the stage (far away) and TV/film (hello! camera close ups)  In the three years he's been a student, Aaron has improved his acting skills and has experienced so much personal growth!  The summer camps are a great way to train. They are filling up fast! Think SNL on fast track! At the end of the week, the students are taped in front of a live studio audience.  There is nothing like this in the country...
