Anniversary Dinner Date at Dakota's Steakhouse

Today, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. We decided to go out and explore a new-to-us steakhouse-Dakota's in Dallas. Now, if you haven't used the OpenTable app to make reservations, you are missing out.  I love that we can save our favorite places and make quick  reservations. The app also provides you with the location, directions, reviews and the menu. It will show you the dress code and let you communicate with the restaurant. If you want to simplify your reservation situation, get the Open Table app! After we made our reservation, we happily anticipated our dinner date. Our time slot was reserved for 5:45 p.m. on a Saturday evening and let me tell you, traffic was horrid! It's gotten to be so bad with all the construction everywhere. But, I digress. DIML VLOG-Weekend Vibes

Even though I am "retired", I still work. I have started doing some consulting work and let me tell you...they are keeping me busy.  I am working 35-40 hours per week and it's a desk job. I work from home and once the weekend arrives, I am ready to get out and unwind.  I  looked for some upcoming fun things to do and I found a free concert over at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas.  It's about an hour drive from here but I figured we'd get dinner, walk around some and then watch these amazing guys perform! Back in Black AC/DC tribute band. But first we went to Grimaldi's! Yum. I love their mediterranean salad and of course their pizza. I had a delicious peach sangria. Valentine's Day - Date Night Outfit Inspo

I have always been very fond of Valentine's Day I remember as a little girl, being excited to decorate my little mailbox with cute doily hearts, glitter stickers and much more!  I love Valentine's Day because it's a day to celebrate friendship and love.  We have love for our family, our spouse, our partners, our friends, our neighbors, our pets, and more! My husband and I decided to go out for a nice dinner the Saturday before the 14th!  It always gets so crowded on the day of, so we made reservations at SER Steakhouse in downtown Dallas.  The restaurant has a beautiful view of the the downtown area and the service was exceptional! Date Night-French Cooking Class

Date Night-French Cooking Class Happy weekend everyone! We were busy kicking off my birthday weekend! Woohoo!! And even though I am getting older, I like to go out and celebrate in style! My husband and I made a promise to go out every month and try out fun things together.  Last month, we went to a Murder Mystery Theatre Dinner. I'll tell  you guys about that at a later time.  Yesterday we went to a French cooking class in Dallas at Sur La Table.  The meal we prepared was ratatouille, a French torte and a raspberry souffle. As part of the class, you receive a 10% discount on any purchase.  You can bet I took advantage of that :) Anywho, both  my husband and I were impressed with the layout of the kitchen, the chef and the meal itself.  You can BYOB (we forgot :/) and you will work in a team of 4.  However, our table only had the two of us as the other pair cancelled at the last minute.  The chef explains everything step by step and underneat...
