How to Make the Burlap Sacs for Christmas Gifts

I just threw these together in a few minutes. I am sure if I had taken more time or knew how to sew they would have come out nicer. But here's the how to:
Pieces of burlap
Ribbon (any or raffia)
Pieces of vinyl
Chalk Ink Marker
Any greenery you have on hand
The whole idea was to put on my hearth the three gifts given to the Savior by the wise men-Gold, Frankinsence and Myrrh. I simply wrapped a box in gold paper and put a bow on it, since I don't have any REAL gold bars on hand ;)
Then I took my pieces of burlap and glued them together around the edges, again with my Mighty Mend It glue. I let it dry for a few seconds. In the meantime, I got some scrap pieces of vinyl with the glue backing, cut them out and wrote the names of the gifts with Chalk Ink Marker. I stuffed the bags with plastic grocery bags to make them fuller and stuck in some greenery from outside my front lawn. I tied it all with some raffia and there you are-Gifts from the Magi :D

Merry Christmas!

  2. I'm your newest follower! Love the whole idea and how you pulled this off. I need to get a chalk ink pen. I tried to find one the other day and everyone looked at me like I was crazy! Laughing at the fact you don't have gold bars laying around ... me either. Merry Christmas to you! Jules
