Summertime=Ice Cream Dripping down your arm

What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than to heading out to Braum's for some ice cream?
I had this great idea and me and the boys headed down there. I was craving some REALLY bad. And since I have gone vegetarian (not vegan anymore) I could spoil myself in this luxury this one time.
What is Braum's you ask? Weeeelllll let me tell you my northern friends (and those of you too lame to not have a Braum's in your town hee hee) It is THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER!!
'Till I moved to the Dallas area I had never heard of Braum's. It was such a treat to finally get to try some some 22 years ago when Sergio got a job there while in college. It was the BEST JOB EVER SINCE WE GOT FREE ICE CREAM :))

But wait there's more! They also have a little restaurant where they serve some of the best burgers and chicken sandwiches (especially the grilled chicken sandwich with jalapenos)
So if you are ever in the area stop by and enjoy some. My favorite flavor is Mint Chocolate Chip.
Aaron always gets a cup because with it being 150 degrees outside it's sure to be a mess.
Once we got our cones we went outside and enjoyed them.
Notice Josh's ice cream is already running down his arm ;)

Sergio always gets a double scoop in a waffle cone. He is an ice cream fiend. We sometimes race each other to see who can finish their ice cream first (and beat a brain freeze) and he ALWAYS wins!!

Earlier that same morning we went to get Ellison a hair cut and while she was at the beauty salon Aaron and I went next door to the little dollar store in our neighborhood. I love dollar stores!! Now, the true $ stores not the ones that have items priced all the way to $10!! That to me is not a dollar store.
Soooo this little dollar store is right next to the Albertson's and is really cute. They have lots of little things for a dollar and Aaron and I decided to kill some time there.
They have everything for parties, from tablecloths to gift bags. I told Aaron he could choose some drawing stuff. He loves to draw. I have to upload his most recent "still life" it's really cute. So anyways, here's some pics of the dollar store, check it out if you're in the area and help support our local merchants

Hmmmmm...maybe some colored pencils...
Walls of cool stuff like party favors

Gift bags of every size!

And Snoopy and the Peanuts gang always bring a smile to my face :)
I may have to go back and buy some of these.
What treasures are in your neighborhood?
What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Is there a local ice cream joint you'd like to brag about?

Would you like to comment?

I love your comments and read all of them! I respond to each one of them too!
