SUMMER TIME AND FEELING ICKY

Not much went on this past weekend. The kids are excited to be out of school. Friday night Josh went to a friend's house for a sleepover. I am so happy Josh attracts good friends. His parents seem pretty nice too. I talked to Josh's friend's mom and she mentioned that she thinks my Josh is "adorable" (her words :) That's a great thing to say to the mother of a soon to be 12 year old! And I totally agree with her. She mentioned that all the boys that spent the night are a good group of boys and I agreed with her again. They will all be in band together.
Since Josh was at a sleepover, Aaron was very sad without his brother. He did not want to sleep alone so Ellison and Aaron had their own sleepover in the game room!! Aaron was thrilled.
Prior to Aaron's sleepover with Ellison, we cheered him up by taking him to Brooklynn's pizza, just the three of us (Ellison was on her weekly date). He mentioned how happy he was to have mom and dad all to himself.
On Saturday morning I woke up feeling pretty weird. I was very weak and have been having pain on my lower right side near my ovary. I am pretty sure I have an ovarian cyst, it hurts like the dickens!! (I've had one before) But since my insurance doesn't kick in until next month here at my new job, I'll just have to tough it out. I laid in bed most of Saturday afternoon into Sunday all day.
Saturday morning I toughed it out and went shopping for a new bathing suit for Ellison. She will need one when she goes to young women's camp this week. We went to 4 different stores and it's so frustrating to find a modest one piece suit. We had to settle on a tankini b/c that's all there was!! The one piece suits were so low cut it was terrible!!
So after shopping for all her necessities for camp I went home and crashed. I mostly watched DVD's in bed. I hardly could get up this morning to come to work. But I am here and so far so good. It will be a late night tonight since we are working on the budget.
So nothing really exciting happening, no cute pics, unless you want a pic of an ovarian cyst!!

  1. Ohhh I am so sorry you are under the weather. We make quite the pair, in the under the weather department. I have had those before and sometimes they can go away by themselves.

Rumor has it watch your calcium intake, but I don't know how true that is.

Most of all I hope you get feeling better soon. Pool party at my house.
