I know I keep saying this but time sure is flying fast! Here we are in November already and we are still having temps in the 80s here in North Texas. I realllllyy want it to be cooler.
A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that we had our annual Super Saturday crafting day at my church.
Amongst the awesome crafty classes was this yummy class on making desserts.
This was one of the recipes that was demoed.
I loved it!
I immediately came home and made some of my own.
You most likely have all the ingredients:
1 sleeve Saltine crackers
1 small bag chocolate chips
1 cup real butter
1 cup sugar
That's it!
Sounds simple but it's so yummy!
Make this tonight:
{Yummy Chocolate Brittle}
Here's what you do:
Preheat oven to 375
Line cookie sheet with foil or parchment paper
place crackers side by side on sheet
In a sauce pan, melt butter. Add sugar and bring to a boil on med/high heat. Boil for about 3 minutes and stir constantly.Pour sugar/butter mixture over crackers and spread evenly with a pastry brush. Bake in over for about 6 minutes.
As soon as crackers come out, sprinkle chocolate chips oven them and watch them melt. Spread all over crackers.
If you need to melt them more, stick them in the oven for a minute or two. Let cool then refrigerate for about an hour.
Break into pieces and enjoy something sweet :)
Mmmmm
Enjoy your weekend.
xoxo
