Valentine's Day Ideas and Home School Progress

Good start to the week everyone! I had a great week, busy , bu sy and as I mentioned before still trying to get my energy back after all that sickness in December. The little guy and I are bu sy with his home schooling and I can't believe we are halfway through the year.  It has been a great exper ience for all of our family. He is doing MUCH better bei ng home schooled. He is better able to focus on his work and he can work at his own pace. Some of you have asked what curriculum we use and I have to say that this is our first year ho me schooling and we de cided on one put by the State of Texas called Texas Connections Academy. It is self paced and entirely online! So fun and easy to follow along. Your child get s to interact with a real teacher via "live lessons " on th e web. Slowing Down and Chinese Lantern Festival

Hello, hello, my sweet peeps! Are you all ready for Valentine's Day? I mean, good golly, we're barely taking down Christmas and already the stores are jamming Valentine's down our throat! Do you feel the same way? I feel like the world is generally in a rush. I have decided this year to dance to the beat of my own drum :) Take it easy and enjoy every moment of your life. With that said, my boys and I took a little trip last Saturday, braving the cold weather, and got to see some awesomeness. The Chinese Lantern Festival was in town and boy what a treat! WELL HAPPY N E W Y EAR EVERYONE! How was your Chr istmas?  M ine was o .k. I got the flu for Chr istmas. Nice, huh?  But hey, I got to see it snow from my bedroom wind ow so that was N ICE. :)  I'd say we got about 5 inches and more is  exp ected next week ( (fing ers crossed))  XXXXXXX It seems this pas t month I just coul dn't catch a b reak in regards to my heal th.
