Top of the morn to y'all mates! How's that for diversity, huh? I've been super busy at work and haven't had a chance to blog. Aggghh! Editing Your Blog Photos-A Quick Tutorial

I think we all want to take a good photograph. We want to capture the moment so that we can later go back to it and oooh and aahhh at it. Whether it's our baby's first step, our son's graduation or our first born's wedding (yikes) we all want that memory to be perfect. And what's a better way to preserve it than in a Blog! I've been taking pictures for a long time. Now, I'm no pro, but I like taking pictures. I don't have a fancy camera, but recently I did upgrade a little to a Fuji camera and I've been saving up to get a DSLR. I've been getting tips from an online community of professional photogs and I've learned quite a bit. The rest has just been trial and error and my own experience. Fall Front Porch

There's just something about pumpkins that make me happy. They put a smile on my face and bring back memories of Halloween and trick-or-treating. Whether it's the cool, crisp autumn air, the scent of roasted marshmallows in the backyard, or the walking around at the Texas State Fair, Autumn just makes me smile! This Friday I discovered a cute little nursery in the small town where I work. I was instantly drawn to the sea of orange pumpkins they had on display all over the front of their lot. I went by on my lunch break to pick up a few. To my surprise they had the "fancy" kind. And they weren't expensive either. Double happy for me. They loaded up my little pick up truck and I even had enough $ to buy a corn stalk. :) When I got home I immediately started to arrange the pumpkins on my front porch. Digital Scrapbooking Software Giveaway

Thankful Thursdays {God Knows Me}

I am thankful that I have a Father in Heaven that knows me. He knows my needs and wants and my desires. He knows what I need even before I know. source This past Sunday I got a phone call right after church from a man in my church wanting to know if a high priest  could come visit our family. They are going to be visiting several families in the upcoming months and they chose ours to be one of the first. Sure I said. That would be fine. In our church, this member of the high priest group is a member of what we call the Stake Presidency. He is a very kind and noble man. Monday came and went and it was not good. I found myself feeling quite anxious and frazzled and overwhelmed with the demands of my job and life in general. I was so exhausted that night that I just got home, hugged my children and husband and wept. Tuesday I stayed home and rested.
