Organizing a Small Closet

When we moved in to this new place, we gained an extra bedroom and closet, however, the main closet is teeny tiny!

This meant that I had to get REAL creative in organizing that main closet. The other two closets, well...let's just say I just threw things in there.

This, of course, presents a dilemma when one is trying to find something, right?

Where the hell is that tripod and the remote?! I asked myself.

So, fed up with my own disorganization, I decided to tackle the third bedroom's closet this weekend.

I will be moving my home office into this 3rd bedroom in a short time so I might as well organize the closet.

It's a small closet for all the stuff I had.

I planned out what I wanted to do with it.

First, I needed to get a wire shelf to store all my stuff.

I needed some pretty baskets and some totes to store all my home decor, kids' mementoes, office supplies, and more.

I remembered that I really like the wire shelving unit we have in the garage, so I logged into the Target app to find one.

I wanted one with wheels so I can easily move it if need be.

I found this one:

I love it! It is easy to put together and like I said, I can move it around.

It fits perfectly in my closet.

Next, I needed some baskets and totes:

My home office will be white, with lavender accents and some light wood tones.

I found these:

Grey baskets

I love, love these baskets! I have so many of them all over my house

They are the perfect size and depth.

So, after figuring out how I wanted the close to look I had to take everything out and start throwing away stuff I didn't need, I also gave away lots of stuff on the FB buy nothing groups.

See what I mean? I had clothes and shoes and lots of boxes with stuff in them I couldn't remember which way was up.

Something had to be done. I moved all the clothes to the 2nd bedroom closet and left the boots in this closet. Now, look at the after!

See the pretty lavender totes? Look at how that shelf just makes every thing be within reach.

I decided to bring in my printer and various paper stash to this closet since I will be working out of this room. Makes things much more convenient.
