I love watching movies. Good, clean, movies. Dramas, comedies, family, foreign, documentaries, action, horror, suspense....as long as they are well written then I call them good. Although I do like some really goofy ones too.
Last weekend Sergio and I went to see this movie:
And although Sergio loved it, I did not. I found myself pretty bored at the story line. You could figure certain things out right from the beginning. I won't post any spoilers but the R rating is mostly for violence and gore. Lots and lots of gore. Now I am not squeamish by any means, but this type of gut exploding gore seemed quite gratuitous. I was disappointed by the ending.
It has some of my favorite actors like Nicholson, Pfeiffer and the always weasly James Spader. The story line is better and it's just good overall.
Also during this past week, I saw M. Night Shyamalan's "Signs" again with Aaron. It is just a good spooky movie that was not too scary for him. I know he's only 7 but this kid likes suspenseful movies with Aliens in them. And since we're planning a trip to Roswell, NM in a couple of weeks, well I thought what better way to prepare ourselves for aliens than to watch some good old scary alien movies :)
What about you? Are you a movie buff? What good werewolf movies do you like? I figure the vampire thing has been done to death.
